R.I.P. Fred Ferret (aka Frederick J. Weasel-y)

We lost the last of our original three ferrets last night. Fred had lived an extremely long life for a ferret, he was eight years old.

He had been battling tumors in his stomach for a very long time, he was on Predisone and it was helping for a while, he died very suddenly, but he was in his happiest place, running free in our upstairs media room when he passed.

We'll miss his gentle nature, his ferret kissess and how he always seemed happiest when his humans were around.

When I dug his grave this morning, I noticed that one of the rose bushes, that I had been having so much trouble with finally bloomed. It was Fred telling us that he was ok, that he's whole again, and he's playing with his brothers George and Spike and the cats Izzy, Tigger and Max. he's over the bridge and he's not suffering anymore.

We'll see you again someday..... your Mommy and Daddy will always love you..
